Pastor Bob will be concluding his pastoral ministry at New Hope on Sunday May 9, 2010.
Pastor Bob was involved in a motor vehicle accident on July 1 2009. He was on the job doing chaplaincy work for Wayne Co Hospice in Wooster at the time.
He received multiple fractures to both legs, and 4 fractured ribs and was life flighted from the scene. After 3 surgeries to address his injuries at Akron General and 2 weeks in their SICU unit, he was transferred to Wadsworth Rittman hospital for the beginning of rehabilitation. One of the surgeries included the installation of an external fixator for Bob's lower right leg.
Since July 30, Bob has continued recovery at home with wheel chair mobility only. the fixator was removed on August 13 and soon he will be able to pick up again with more therapy to learn to walk again. He is expected to fully recover and has been progressing very well.
